Via reader Juan Golblado comes a link to a website produced by the pro-democracy, anti-occupation Nabad Al Horriye (Pulse of Freedom) camped out at Martyrs’ Square in Beirut.
The movement is calling for a prompt announcement of a date for Lebanon’s election, which will be the first since the almost-completed withdrawal of Syrian forces from the country.
Of course only a few months ago there were those who saw Syria’s presence in Lebanon as essential to “maintain stability and protect the country from Israel.” I can only imagine the sadness they are feeling now.
