The New Scientist reports that for some people – no matter how much they do it – exercising doesn’t make any difference to their health:
“There is astounding variation in the response to exercise. The vast majority will benefit in some way, but there will be a minority who will not benefit at all,” says Claude Bouchard of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, US.
Just imagine going to the gym everyday, having had to put up with the sight of your colleagues and neighbours sweaty faces first thing in the morning and then finding out it was all a dreadful waste of time, money and effort.
Best not to risk it.
