The Stoppers are on the streets again on March 20th and for the first time I find myself able to support their slogan 100%.
A Year of Lies indeed it has been. In the posts below you will find three examples of untruths from leading anti-war media figures Robert Fisk, Mark Steel and Paul Foot.
In two of the cases it was readers who pointed out the lies and my thanks to them. In the build up to the March 20th protest against lying, may I encourage readers to send in by email examples of anti-war lies in the media which we will collect here in the coming fortnight and which will be accompanied by that excellent Year of Lies logo.
For our (probably) virtual counter-demonstration on March 20th we will repost a complete collection of anti-war lies from the past 12 months.
