Andrew Murray’s fine writing is usually restricted to the Morning Star but he is given a platform today in the Guardian where he takes full advantage with an excellent summing up of the firefighters strike.

Between them and the axis of privilege that controls Britain today, Blair has made his choice. He no longer floats above classes and competing interests as a national arbiter. That myth has been this class war’s first casualty.”
