The Islamic Republic of Iran has ruled on the various forms of male tonsure acceptable to the Godly state:
“The proposed styles are inspired by Iranians’ complexion, culture and religion, and Islamic law,” said Jaleh Khodayar, who is in charge of a Modesty and Veil Festival later this month.
So far, so funny. But what happens if you don’t want to conform to the state-sanctioned rules? If you want to dye your hair for example?
