The BBC reports:
The chairman and main financier of the Respect Party has told BBC London the party “is over” and said he would resign and stop funding it.
Azmal Hussain added: “If anyone wants to continue, let them, but I am not involved.”….
“For me it is over.”
“I will resign and will stop funding the party,” he added.
“Not a single penny.”
But they are not dead yet, or so they claim, because the BBC continue:
Respect Party’s Rob Hoverman, former election agent for George Galloway, said: “We intend to stick around.”
