I was asked to come aboard Harry’s Place earlier this week and I am quite excited about being part of this community. This blog was the first I read regularly back in 2005 (along with Bob from Brockley), and it has had a large impact on my own political journey. I only hope I can live up to the standards set by the great bloggers this site has furthered and cultivated.
I am an educator and father in Northern California who writes about politics, education and culture. Harry’s Place was kind enough to post some of my pieces in the past. I used to write for But, I am a Liberal, but I have been recently writing some longer pieces at Ordinary Times Magazine. I can also be found on Twitter.
While I will be generally covering American politics, I have a keen interest in Britain and its culture. I studied abroad at the University of Cambridge back in 2003 and then earned a Masters degree in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Britain, and the various people that constitute it, have always been of great interest to me.
With the American election in full swing, there is more than enough to talk about on any given day; I will work to bring angles to the discussion that are worth your time and effort. I look forward to engaging and interacting with the readers of Harry’s Place, one of the web’s best online communities!
