The Lynchburg News & Advance reports:

A Lynchburg Department of Human Services employee is out on bond after Amherst County authorities said they found him late Sunday wearing camouflage and a mask on a neighbor’s property while armed with a gun and a suspicious bag of bacon.

Evan Patrick Cater, 31, of 207 Sage Lane in Madison Heights, was released on a $15,000 bond early Monday, according to Amherst County Sheriff’s Capt. John Grieser.

Deputies found Cater hiding behind a dog kennel on a neighbor’s property around 10 p.m. Sunday after the property owner heard his dogs barking and saw someone outside.

According to Google, this is the first time and only time the phrase “suspicious bag of bacon” has appeared on the Web.
