Israel,  Labour Party

“Oi. Oi. Say the word Israel.”

Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn managed to get through his speech to the Labour Friends of Israel without once uttering the name of what many of his friends consider the usurping Zionist entity– and also refuse to call by its rightful name.

Oi indeed. And well done to the heckler.

What I can’t understand is why anyone at that meeting applauded Corbyn, who can’t even conceal his hostility to the existence of Israel in a speech to the country’s supporters.

Am I correct in assuming he didn’t take any questions?

Update: Oddly enough, Corbyn doesn’t seem to have any problem mentioning Israel on his website.
