And this message from Eric Lee of LabourStart:
We Believe in Israel defines itself as “a UK grassroots network of people united in believing in the right of the State of Israel to live in peace and security … launched to build on the success of the We Believe in Israel conference in London in May 2011 … We are a broad-based and inclusive coalition open to anyone, Jewish and non-Jewish, and from across the political spectrum, who subscribes to our core values and objectives.”
Those core values include “a negotiated two-state solution to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, so that there will be two states for the two peoples.”
At that 2011 conference there was a small session organised by Trade Union Friends of Israel and TULIP.
At this year’s conference, due to be held on Sunday 22 March, we will building on that and encourage trade unionists to register today to attend the event. More details are here.
See you there!
