On NPR’s “On the Media,” co-host Bob Garfield says what needs to be said about the ABC TV network’s hiring of former Playboy model turned vaccine truther Jenny McCarthy as a co-host of the popular daytime program “The View.”
Apparently McCarthy’s hiring was OK with the venerable Barbara Walters, an executive producer of “The View” and one of the program’s co-hosts.
Then again, while in London, Ms. Walters spoke with a Kate Middleton impersonator as if she was the actual Duchess of Cambridge. So we shouldn’t be shocked.
(On the other hand, I thought she did a good job in 2011 of interviewing Bashar al-Assad.)
