Beware of Far Right Candidates in Police Commissioner Elections!

Nina Kelly has an article up at Comment is Free in which she warns abstainers in the upcoming Police Commissioner elections that they might let in a far Right-winger by default. She goes on to list a number of unsavoury characters linked to the English Defence League.

Absent from her list of baddies, standing for election, is Tony Lloyd, formerly a Member of Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Labour Party, who resigned in order to stand as the Labour candidate for Greater Manchester Police and Crime Commissioner.

Tony Lloyd may not be a member of the English Defence League or the British National Party. He is, however, a fan of Hamas: the racist and genocidal political party.

Here is Tony Lloyd with Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, wearing a Hamas scarf:

In this picture, you can see Tony Lloyd MP looking respectfully at Hamas leader, Ahmad Bahar:

Make us victorious over the community of infidels… Allah, take the Jews and their allies, Allah, take the Americans and their allies… Allah, annihilate them completely and do not leave any one of them.

Tony Lloyd MP is wearing a scarf which depicts, as Palestine, a map which shows not just Gaza and the West Bank, but Israel itself.

I’d expect Tony Lloyd to win. That will mean that Manchester’s policing policy will be directed by a man who associates with murderous antisemitic terrorists, with pride.

I pity the Jews who live in Manchester.
