If readers feel moved to comment on the Opening Ceremonies of the London Olympics, or the media coverage thereof, they may do so here.
The ceremonies won’t be broadcast live here in the US, but on a delayed basis tonight. I’ll probably skip it in favor of watching the red-hot Washington Nationals take on the Milwaukee Brewers, as the Nats (in first place in the National League East) move closer to competing in post-season play– the first time a DC baseball team will have done so since the old Washington Senators made it to the World Series in 1933.
