Ryan Gosling has saved Laurie Penny from a car:
TRUE FACT: Ryan Gosling is an actual hero. He just rescued a woman from being run over in NYC after her stupid British ways made her look right instead of left when crossing the road. Traffic carnage alert! Do NOT wander in front of moving vehicles just to attract the actor’s attention – it’s highly likely the driver won’t be quite as capable behind the wheel as Gosling himself. Writing on Twitter, Laurie Penny (who is a journo for the New Statesman, FYI) said: “I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Gene adds: Something eerily similar happened to Winston Churchill in 1931. However he probably wasn’t wearing a pink wig and there was no famous actor to rescue him. He suffered cracked ribs and pleurisy, and was hospitalized for a week.
