About the time Ed Miliband (leader of Britain’s Labour party) was paying tribute to hardcore Israel bashers at a meeting of Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East, his brother David was meeting with Shelly Yachimovich, the new leader of Israel’s Labor party, while on a visit to the region.
Unfortunately the only mention I can find of this is on the website of the rightwing settlers’ radio station Arutz Sheva– which of course puts its own special spin on the meeting:
According to her spokesman, they spoke about Yachimovich’s social-democratic agenda and its connection to Britain’s desire to see Israel relinquish its heartland to the Western-backed Palestinian Authority.
Whatever that means.
