Sparks fly

Like many other workers, electricians are concerned by the impact of the current economic climate on their working conditions.  Many employers have pulled out of the JIB‘s pay and conditions agreements, leading to worries about pay cuts and deskilling.  This has led to protests, involving hundred of electricians, against the Balfour Beatty site at Blackfriars train station. Some may face pay cuts of up to 35%.
