Maybe the worrying statistic here is that 54% of Americans think that killing bin Laden makes them safer. Of course it doesn’t. At least not in the short-term. Although in the long haul as intelligence gleaned from the bin Laden haul pays off it might, but that has to be coupled with progress in Afghanistan.
