Israel/Palestine

A tail of two ditties

Well, if ever there was a basic failure to sing from the same hymn-sheet…

According to the Sudanese government:

“Sudan categorically dismisses the allegation made by the Israelis that they were targeting Abdul Latif al-Ashqar, an alleged member of the Hamas, when their missile violently struck a civilian vehicle on Wednesday near Port Sudan. There were no foreigners in that car. “

According to Palestinian sources:

“Palestinian sources inside Gaza have confirmed a man killed in an air strike in Sudan on Tuesday was a senior Hamas operative, Abdul-Latif Ashkar. Israel is believed to have been behind the targeted assassination in Port Sudan of Ashkar, who replaced Mahmoud al-Mabhouh as a co-ordinator of weapons shipments from Iran through to the Gaza Strip.”

Oh well, someone is blushing, I suppose.
