The Lincoln-Palin connection

Riffing on Sarah Palin’s penchant for Tweeting her profound thoughts in 140 characters or less, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show noted that she is not the first politician to employ that means of communicating. He cited Abraham Lincoln’s famous Twittersburg Address:

Stewart compared the media’s (or as Palin amusingly calls them, “the lamestream media’s”) compulsive reporting of Palin’s Tweets to a teenage boy with a crush on the stuck-up girl who hates him.
