So the survivalist extreme right finds common ground with the anti-GM environmentalist left. Heartwarming, isn’t it?

Not strictly true. Perhaps most/all GM seeds are hybrids, so they don’t give you seeds to replant. Just common sense if you’re expecting the end of the civilised world as we know it.
