Lembit Opik, who was sad and disappointed after being defeated for reelection as a Liberal Democratic MP in May, has joined George Galloway, Yvonne Ridley and Lauren Booth on the payroll of the Iranian regime-funded Press TV.
Opik has also been disappointed in love.
He was engaged to Gabriela Irimia, who, as one half of the pop duo the Cheeky Girls, had a number two single in 2002 with Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum). The relationship broke down in 2008.
Mr Opik was engaged previously to Sian Lloyd, the ITV weather girl, for several years.
He was recently reported to have been in a relationship with Katie Green, an underwear model. Miss Green, 22, has modelled for both Wonderbra and Ultimo, but was dropped by the latter after she appeared topless in a newspaper.
