I’m not a fan of Ken Livingstone and would rather not see him win the race to become Labour’s candidate for London mayor, but that aside, five years ago in the wake of the attacks on London, he made this speech and showed that he does sometimes have what it takes. This isn’t the speech he made on the day, which was better, but I think it is still good. You could only imagine what Boris Johnson would have come out with.
