Hitchens versus the SSNP: more details

Michael Totten was with Christopher Hitchens when he was beaten up by thugs of the fascist Syrian Social Nationalist Party for defacing one of their neo-swastika posters in Beirut, and he has an account on his website.

“I think a swastika poster is partly fair game and partly an obligation,” Hitchens later told Totten. “You don’t really have the right to leave one alone.” He says he’d do it again.

I can’t help wondering, by contrast, about George Galloway’s reaction when he saw the same swastika displayed at the SSNP celebration in Canada where he had a speaking engagement in 2006.
