Israeli election results

As of now, Tzipi Livni’s Kadima party has a narrow lead over Bibi Netanyahu’s Likud in the Israeli Knesset election. And of course, neither party by itself is anywhere near the 60 seats needed to form a government.

It appears Avigdor [shudder] Lieberman’s Yisrael Beitenu will edge out Ehud Barak’s Labor party for third place. And so Labor’s sad decline continues.

The big questions now are who will be able to put together a majority coalition, and how.

Since we had open threads for the 2005 UK election and the 2008 US election, and because we are well-known members of the Zionist conspiracy, we’ll open (belatedly) a thread here for comments too.
