Here is a useful guide to three political philosophies that are often in the news.
Nazism is an expansionist totalitarian movement that is premised upon a wholly bogus identity politics. Nazis in power exterminated minorities and repressed socialists and democrats, while falsely claiming that it was the victim of a timeless plot against Germans, that would continue until the Day of Judgement.
Zionism is exactly the same. Even if Jews were persecuted in Europe – and that is a matter of debate – the Holocaust was either a joint venture between the Nazis and the Zionists or a reprisal attack. Jews were a happy integrated part of Arab society, until perfidious Zionists started to stir up trouble.
Islamism, by contrast, is an authentic national liberation movement, that represents the people of the Ummah, and all those who live within their lands. It is the victim of a timeless plot against the Muslims that began with the revolt of the Jewish tribes against Mohammed and will continue to the Day of Judgement. There will be no need for socialism in the perfect democracy that Islamist groups like Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood will create. People will not even want it.
