“White Socialists”

Trots open their mouths, and words come out. What they mean, who can say. In order to find out, it would be necessary to listen to them.

Linsday “Shibboleth” German has this to say:

if I had been elected to the London Assembly in 2004 (as I very nearly was) then the balance of forces in Respect would have been very different. If white socialists had been elected in 2006 in Newham and Tower Hamlets (as they very nearly were) then the balance of forces and level of politics in those areas would have been raised.

But what does she mean? What does melanin concentration in skin have to do with the trots having been beaten by the clerical fascist Jamaat-e-Islami? And just how brown* is George Galloway, who engineered that defeat? For that matter, if the white Muslim Brotherhood activist, Anas Altikriti, had been elected on the RESPECT platform to the European Parliament, how would that have affected the prospects for world socialism?

Has the Socialist Workers’ Party become a racist party?
