“Boogie Man,” the widely-praised documentary about the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater– whose inspiration it was to use a black convict to help George HW Bush beat Michael Dukakis in 1988 and who helped shape Republican politics to this day– will be broadcast tonight on PBS.
