Probably not. But check out this video from C-Span of the 11 or so minutes after Tuesday’s “Town Hall” presidential debate in Nashville. It may be more revealing than anything that happened during the debate.
The McCains hang around for a minute or so, shake a few hands from the stage and then disappear– almost as if they couldn’t wait to get away.
Meanwhile Barack and Michelle Obama plunge into the (overwhelmingly white) audience, shaking hands, chatting, signing autographs and posing for pictures. They seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves, and the audience– made up of “undecided” voters– seems to enjoy it too.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they won a few votes there.
