Kudos to the BBC’s Tim Franks

Listening to a local public radio station early one morning, I happened to hear Tim Franks do a nice piece for the BBC’s “From Our Own Correspondent” series about a 79-year-old Israeli farmer and Holocaust survivor who is finally celebrating his Bar Mitzvah. At the traditional Bar Mitzvah age of 13, he was sent to Auschwitz.

It helps make up for Barbara Plett’s infamous FOOC piece in which she described her tears as the murderous Yasser Arafat departed Ramallah for the last time.
