So, over at Indymedia, the claim is that America is to blame for the Russian-Georgian conflict. This position is graphically expressed by antisemitic cartoonist, Latuff (who participated in the Iranian Holocoast Denial fest). Predictably, Israel is also to blame. One post claims “Once again Israel starts a war that others will have to clean up.”
Israel, America. America, Israel. Whatever. Apparently it’s all about oil.
Since there have been no emergency StWC marches in London, I’m not sure what the ‘official’ far-left position is. Anyone know?
UPDATE: Well, the Indymedia view seems to be shared by Lenin’s Tomb, and Socialist Unity, who say “the signs are that current war has been manufactured in Washington, and executed by Georgia.”
