To mark Israel’s 59th Independence Day, the website of the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot has posted several versions of “Hatikvah.”
The performances by Zehava Ben and Kobi Oz (of Teapacks, Israel’s contender in this year’s Eurovision) are reminders of the cultural roots that many Israelis have in the Middle East.
