Stoppers Lose Again

The Court of Appeal has dismissed an application to have the Government’s decision to overthrow Saddam Hussein subject to judicial review:

“Such an inquiry would inevitably involve, not only questions of international law, but also questions of policy, which are essentially matters for the executive and not the courts,” said the Master of the Rolls in his leading judgment.

Quite.

It’s a shame Military Families Against the War didn’t bother to read the warning signs about the weakness of their case nearly a year ago.

Only the lawyers win in cases like this.
