US soldiers in Iraq provide evidence for Senator John Kerry’s allegation that they are all thickos who couldn’t successfully navigate the educational system.

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
His media people are saying that what he “inadvertently” left out the word “us,” which would have changed the line to “you get us stuck in Iraq”.
It seems to add to the case for Kerry not running again in 2008. According to various reports he still has $15m banked and his Keeping America’s Promise campaign is still raising millions of dollars in cash.
His supporters are apparently buoyed by polls that have shown him beating Bush by 10% if the 2004 election were held in 2006.
Two Democrat candidates have dropped him from planned appearances on the back of his botched joke. Bruce Braley, Democrat for Congress in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District and Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford, Jr.
