More interesting than the rally itself (Face paint! Bush and Blair puppets!) is what MM recorded on the fringe, as a couple of Iranians– enraged by demonstrators waving the flag of the brutal and murderous Islamic regime– try to speak their piece. And no, they’re not friendly to Israel or the US either.
At one point a Stopper steward says to one of the Iranians, “This is an anti-imperialist demonstration. Are you an imperialist?”
(Clint Eastwood voice) Well, are you, punk?
The Stop the War Coalition seems to have a history of problems with Iranian opponents of the Islamic regime.
