If this report is anywhere near accurate– that more than 40,000 women and children, often in conditions of virtual slavery, will be imported to Germany during the coming month to provide commercial sex for football fans– it appears the World Cup has a very dark side indeed.
Update: According to Speigel Online, the reports of 40,000 prostitutes streaming into Germany for the World Cup were greatly exaggerated.
