Among the special events scheduled for 6/6/06 (as in 666, the number of the beast) is the release of the cartoonish Ann Coulter’s latest book “Godless: The Church of Liberalism.”
In it, she asserts, “Of course liberalism is a religion. It has its own cosmology, its own miracles, its own beliefs in the supernatural, its own churches, its own high priests, its own saints, its own total worldview, and its own explanation of the existence of the universe.”
As Bart Simpson would say: “Cooool.”
Update: Following the defeat of Hugo Chavez’s favored candidate, Ollanta Humala, in Sunday’s Peruvian election, The Washington Post reports:
Before the election, Chávez promised to cut diplomatic ties with Peru permanently if “by some work of the devil” García beat Humala.
Hmmm.
