Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who was forced into hiding after the murder of Theo van Gogh in November, has made a defiant return to parliament.
Her name was one of those found on a death-list pinned to the murdered filmmaker’s body. With him, she had written the script for the controversial short film ‘Submission’, which explored the position of women in Islam.
….“I will go on with my work here in parliament. I will attend all the meetings, I will control our government. And, beyond that I will keep on writing articles, I will keep on writing scripts for not just Submission Part II but Part III and so on. I will do anything in my power to keep the oppression of women on the agenda.”
