Having been forced to study Anglo-Saxon history at university for a year I’m dismayed not to see more 7th Century names featured. What’s wrong with Bertwald, Hunwald, Sexburg, Egbert, Egfrith or Eggwhisk ? (okay that last one’s not real but the others are)
