Some recent commenters here suggest that union activity these days is mostly about manipulative labor bosses feathering their nests by demanding more and more for already well-off workers.
Now there may in fact be some mindless, robotic workers somewhere who will readily forego their ample paychecks by striking for weeks or months to satisfy the whim of some pinky-ringed fellow. And it may be that labor won all its important victories decades ago, and is just “wrangling around the edges.” But I wish the folks who believe these things could visit the employees of Sterling Laundry in Washington, DC.
