Someone in the White House communications office was so upset about a report on ABC News on low morale among US soldiers in Iraq that he or she put out the word that the correspondent who filed it is not only gay, he’s (perhaps even more unforgivably) Canadian.
Neither of these facts was a secret, but you have to wonder about the mindset of people who think they can undermine a reporter’s credibility by revealing this kind of stuff.
